Welcome to the Class of 1976 Reunion Website. This website is created and maintained by alumni volunteers of the Class of 1976 ("we," "us," or "our") for the benefit of our classmates. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Website Purpose and Scope

This website is an unofficial, volunteer-run platform created by Class of 1976 alumni to facilitate our class reunion and maintain connections among classmates. This website is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Spelman College unless otherwise explicitly stated for specific events.

2. Information Collection and Use
2.1 Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use this website:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Any questions or messages you submit through contact forms or interactive features

2.2 How We Use Your Information

Your information will be used solely for:

  • Facilitating communication about the reunion

  • Maintaining the alumni directory (with your consent)

  • Responding to inquiries

  • Providing updates about class activities

2.3 Privacy

We respect your privacy and will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to facilitate reunion activities or as required by law.

3. Registration and Payment
3.1 School Registration

Official school-sponsored reunion events require separate registration through Spelman College. We provide information and guidance about school registration as a courtesy, but we are not responsible for the school's registration process, policies, or events.

3.2 Class Dues via Zelle

Class dues for alumni-organized activities may be paid through Zelle using the link provided on this website. By making a payment:

  • You acknowledge that payments are processed directly through Zelle and we do not store your financial information

  • You understand that class dues are voluntary contributions to support alumni-organized activities

  • You agree to the refund policy stated in Section 4 below

4. Refund Policy

Class dues paid via Zelle are non-refundable except in cases of event cancellation. Refunds for school-sponsored events are governed by the school's policies."]

5. Event Participation
5.1 School-Sponsored Events

Certain reunion activities are organized and managed by Spelman College. For these events, the school's terms, conditions, and liability policies apply. We are not responsible for school-organized activities.

5.2 Alumni-Organized Events

The Class of 1976 alumni volunteer committee organizes certain activities independently. By participating in these events, you acknowledge and agree to the liability release in Section 6 below.

6. Limitation of Liability and Release

6.1 Volunteer Nature

This website and alumni-organized reunion activities are managed entirely by unpaid volunteers from the Class of 1976. We provide this service as a courtesy to our classmates.

6.2 No Warranties

This website and all information provided are offered "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding:

  • The accuracy or completeness of information on this website

  • The availability or functionality of the website

  • The success or quality of any reunion events

  • Any outcomes related to your use of this website or participation in events

6.3 Release of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE the Class of 1976 reunion organizing committee, all volunteer organizers, website administrators, and any affiliated individuals (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of this website

  • Any loss, damage, or injury resulting from website errors, omissions, or technical issues

  • Your participation in alumni-organized reunion events

  • Any interactions with other alumni or third parties facilitated through this website

  • Any financial transactions made through third-party services (including Zelle)

  • Any personal injury, property damage, or other harm occurring during alumni-organized activities

6.4 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that participation in reunion events involves inherent risks, and you voluntarily assume all risks associated with such participation.

6.5 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of this website or participation in events.

7. User Conduct

You agree to use this website responsibly and not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory information

  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or other users' information

  • Use the website for commercial purposes without permission

8. Intellectual Property

Content submitted by users (photos, messages, etc.) remains the property of the submitter, but by submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and use that content on this website for reunion-related purposes.
